"Dinosaurs For Ever!"
Just in time for the school holidays, the Natural History Museum in London has opened two new gardens designed specifically to tie into the museum's ethos and collections. These 5 acre-green spaces are FREE to visit and support urban nature whilst offering the chance for research and education. Take a tour or just wander through the gardens before you visit the museum.
The Evolution Garden has a fabulous bronze sculpture of a Diplodocus dinosaur and a timeline wall where we can learn about ancient rocks and how life on Earth has changed over the millennia. Meanwhile, the forward-looking Nature Discovery Garden offers the chance to study the changing character of urban nature and how we can support it in the future against a backdrop of climate change.
These gorgeous new gardens whet the appetite for the museum itself where the magnificent dinosaur galleries, the blue whale skeleton (25 m long and weighing 4.5 tonnes) and the earthquake/volcano displays will prove memorable experiences for all the family.
