Monet's Garden in London!

Calling all gardeners and art lovers! Visit the wonderful Garden Museum at St Mary in Lambeth to see their latest exhibition (on until April 24th) Claude Monet's great-grandson (by marriage), Jean-Marie Toulgouat, grew up in Giverny and returned there to aid the restoration of Monet’s world-famous gardens. His vibrantly coloured oil paintings of Giverny are on display alongside archival photographs by Andrew Lawson. The Garden Museum is a hidden gem, tucked next to Lambeth Palace close to the River Thames, it is an atmospheric and quirky museum with a fabulous cafe.

The displays help bring the beauty and development of the Giverny water gardens to life in London just months before we get to see Monet's views of the Thames in a major exhibition at the Courtauld Gallery (watch this space for details).
