Hidden Art!

The Mall Galleries is a fabulous exhibition space hidden in plain sight near Admiralty Arch, a stone's throw from Trafalgar Square. The Mall Galleries is home to the Federation of British Artists (FBA), a visual arts charity founded in 1961. The Federation is a collective of nine leading art societies, each with a unique character or specialism. One these is the Royal Institute of Oil Painters whose Annual Exhibition 2026 is coming up soon from the 26 Nov 2026 - 12 Dec 2026 - 10am to 5pm daily. The exhibition celebrates British oil painters and uses the hanging space in the North, East & West Galleries. It's a fantastic opportunity to see some spectacular original art from some seriously talented painters but you can also get to purchase the paintings. A warning - you need to get in there early as the best pieces sell very quickly. Admission is £7 and it's Free for Friends of Mall Galleries and under 25s. Concessions are available and no booking is required.

Future exhibitions include HOPE, Youth Voices for Change in January 2027, followed by the Pastel Society Annual Exhibition 2027 | Drawn To Colour. DO GO - it's one of those places you've walked past many times and not realised what delights await!
