Design of the Beautiful Game

Visit the Design Museum in High Street Kensington to see the first major exhibition which explores the story behind football, revealing how design has been used to push the game to new limits. Over 500 objects, films and interviews in sporting performance, kit development, stadium design and more tell the story. Relive iconic football moments as you hear stories of club legacies and legends including Messi, Pelé, George Best and Diego Maradona.

This exhibition reveals the design of the world’s most significant football stadiums, the innovation used in modern footwear boots, how the graphic design of team badges, kits and posters shape a club's identity and how grassroots initiatives are pushing back against the sport’s commercialisation. The exhibition is on until August 29th 2022!
