Christmas Markets Highlights?

Visit London this December and pop in to one of the Christmas Markets to get something different for a loved one or just browse the stalls and soak up the atmosphere. So where to go? Why not stroll along the river Thames and experience the Southbank Christmas Market (3rd November to 26th December) for a warming winter toddy or an unusual Christmas present? Covent Garden's Christmas market is a real treat in historic surroundings. This was the setting for the 2019 film "Last Christmas" and is surrounded by lovely cafes and restaurants as well as the Royal Opera House where the Christmas Ballet is of course the Nutcracker! Alternatively, Trafalgar Square hosts a Christmas market and the Norwegian Christmas tree which is a "thank-you" from the Norwegian people to the British for support during WWII (see below for the 2021 version).
