Every year, since 1947, the people of Norway have given the people of London a Christmas tree which sits in Trafalgar Square. This festive gift is in gratitude for Britain's support during World War II. The 25m tree is illuminated with hundreds of light bulbs set in traditional Norwegian vertical strings of light. The lighting ceremony is on December 2nd 2021 at 6pm; come along and listen to the carols which herald the start of Christmas in London.
